OSDC Borrower, Crimson Cup, Makes News Again!

You may have read the Crimson Cup article in the Columbus Business First. Crimson Cup Coffee & Tea is a 26-year-old business based in Columbus, Ohio. To date, the business has been solely based in Central Ohio, however, the Tallmadge Coffee House will be opening today, December 6th, outside of Akron.

The Tallmadge Coffee house partnered with Linda’s Kitchen to offer cookies, sandwiches, along with other delicious delicacies to accompany the house made coffee and tea.

Dan Eaton with Columbus Business First reported “the company is hosting a group of eight members of a coffee co-op from Peru who traveled to the United States on a Peruvian grant to learn more about the U.S. coffee market.”

The Co-op from the Peru hopes to learn more about the what U.S. Customers want at Crimson Cup’s Innovation Lab. If successful, better coffee can result in higher prices for farmers boosting the Peruvian economy.

Ohio Statewide Development has partnered with Heartland Bank to provide two SBA 504 loans to help with Crimson Cup’s growth and expansion.
