We understand that speed, predictability, and consistency are vital to the success of any small business. We work hard to get the loan to the closing table fast, so our partners can focus on things that matter like growing their small business, not filling out forms. With that in mind, the following is the process you can expect when you work with us:

  1. Contact us to discuss the project. We will review the timeline and identify any challenges the project might have.
  2. OSDC underwrites and reviews the project at the same time as the bank or credit union.
  3. We submit the loan request to SBA or the State of Ohio for final approval, advocating for the small business and its project.
  4. The Lender closes two loans. The second loan is temporary and will be “taken out” by OSDC.
  5. Once the business has moved into the new space or the equipment is installed, OSDC closes its loan and replaces the Lender’s temporary loan.
