Michael Byrne Manufacturing is a women-owned family business that manufacturers auger boring machines, augers, cutting heads, and industrial gearboxes. It supplies utility contractors with equipment to drill horizontally underground to install water, sewer, gas, oil, and electric lines to provide energy to homes and businesses. The business started as a small operation in a garage in 1966 and has since expanded to a multi-building site on over 10 acres in rural Richland County.

OSDC worked with Park National Bank to secure an Ohio 166 loan to help the business finance the construction of a new warehouse and office space to expand their operations. The loan gave the owners the ability to secure low-cost financing while also investing in an efficient and sustainable building to meet the demand in Ohio’s expanding infrastructure needs.
