Care That Goes Beyond the Table

Tailored Massage Therapy & Wellness has been a trusted wellness destination in Mount Gilead since the beginning. Co-owned and operated by Ashleigh Adkins and Elizabeth Trimble, the 100% women-owned business has built its reputation on something that’s harder to find than it sounds: genuine personalized care.

From traditional therapeutic and deep tissue massage to prenatal and sports massage, esthetics, red light therapy, and infrared sauna treatments, TMTW has steadily grown its offerings to meet clients wherever they are on their wellness journey. The common thread across every service is the same — high-quality, attentive care that’s tailored to the individual.

That commitment to personalized wellness has built a loyal client base in Morrow County and earned TMTW a five-star reputation in the community.

Outgrowing a Good Thing

Growth is a good problem to have. But it’s still a problem that needs solving.

Tailored Massage Therapy & Wellness had outgrown their existing suite. The space that served them well in earlier years no longer had room for the expanded services they wanted to offer or the team they planned to build. There was no room to add therapists, no room for a dedicated retail space, and no room to grow into the full wellness studio they had in mind.

They needed a new home. Not just more square footage, but the right space to build the next chapter.

How the SBA 504 Made It Work

OSDC partnered with Park National Bank to structure an SBA 504 loan for Tailored Massage Therapy & Wellness to purchase a 2,542 square foot freestanding building in Mount Gilead situated on more than half an acre with ample parking.

The SBA 504 is a government-backed loan program that helps Ohio small businesses purchase commercial real estate with a low fixed interest rate and a smaller down payment than a conventional bank loan. For Ashleigh and Elizabeth, the 504 meant they could make a significant real estate investment without overextending the business. The fixed rate locks in for the full term of the loan, so there are no surprises down the road.

Room to Grow, Right Here in Mount Gilead

The new location is a step up in every way. A freestanding building with its own presence on the street. Dedicated space for a fully developed retail area where clients can take home wellness products that align with their health journey. Room to bring on additional licensed massage therapists and expand services as the business grows.

Most importantly, it keeps Tailored Massage Therapy & Wellness right where they’ve always been in the community they’ve served from the start.

That’s what the SBA 504 program makes possible for Ohio small businesses ready to plant permanent roots and grow.
