Heather Yomboro Appointed Executive Director of Ohio Statewide Development Corporation
New Leadership Team Poised to Expand Access to Capital for Ohio’s Small Businesses
COLUMBUS – The Ohio Statewide Development Corporation (OSDC) is proud to announce the appointment of Heather Yomboro as its new Executive Director. A seasoned lending professional with deep expertise in SBA-backed financing, operations management, and inclusive economic development, Yomboro brings a bold vision for expanding access to capital across Ohio’s small business landscape.
Yomboro has served OSDC for the past several years in key operational leadership roles, most recently as Director of Operations, where she led loan due diligence, financial reporting, and board governance for the organization’s SBA 504 lending portfolio. Her work has played a critical role in supporting the success and sustainability of Ohio’s small businesses.
“Heather brings a rare combination of strategic insight, operational rigor, and lived commitment to OSDC’s mission,” said Chris Magill, OSDC Board President and Managing Director of Vista Site Selection. “Her leadership will be instrumental in shaping the next chapter of our work to remove systemic barriers and empower small business owners across the state.”
Prior to joining OSDC, Yomboro built her lending foundation at JPMorgan Chase, where she worked in the bank’s bilingual servicing division. Fluent in Spanish and English, she provided direct support to underserved borrowers navigating complex financial systems. She is known for her ability to foster trust, streamline processes, and champion the stories and success of entrepreneurs too often overlooked by traditional lenders.
Yomboro holds a BA in Spanish and Anthropology from The College of Wooster, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for cultural understanding and community-based problem solving.
“I am honored to step into this role at such a pivotal time,” said Yomboro. “Small businesses are the heart of Ohio’s economy and the communities we serve. I’m committed to ensuring OSDC continues to be a strong, responsive, and mission-aligned partner in helping every entrepreneur realize their vision.”
Also stepping into a new leadership role is Mark Klettlinger, who has been promoted to Senior Director of Lending. Since joining OSDC, Klettlinger has become a cornerstone of the organization’s lending operations, managing a robust portfolio of SBA 504 loans with a focus on job creation and long-term investment.
“Mark is a deeply knowledgeable SBA lender who builds strong relationships with borrowers and lending partners,” said Yomboro. “His promotion reflects both his technical expertise and his unwavering commitment to supporting small business growth in Ohio.”
Klettlinger is known for guiding borrowers and bankers through the technical requirements of the SBA 504 program with clarity and care. In his expanded role, he will oversee all aspects of OSDC’s lending activities, including loan origination, underwriting, and partner engagement. Mark holds a BA from the University of Akron.
Together, Yomboro and Klettlinger will lead OSDC as it continues to provide mission-driven financing solutions that drive entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic growth throughout Ohio.
OSDC is certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration to deliver SBA 504 loans statewide, offering long-term, fixed-rate financing for small business real estate and equipment purchases. Under Yomboro’s leadership, and with Klettlinger leading lending operations, the organization will continue to grow its impact, strengthen its partnerships, and prioritize lending strategies that promote long-term wealth creation.
