Defifoods Group International is minority-owned family business that manufactures private label chocolates and other confections. They create a variety of organic chocolates using ethically grown cocoa sourced throughout the world. They moved their production and warehouse operations to Defiance in 2022 to better serve their growing customer base with reliable transportation channels.
OSDC worked with Citizens National Bank to secure an Ohio 166 loan to help the business finance the purchase of a new HVAC system and climate control upgrades to their food production facility in Defiance. The loan gave the owners the ability to secure low-cost financing while also reviving an underutilized facility and creating new manufacturing jobs in the region.
